Santa Ana, CA, 5/19/2016 – Mobile Medical Examination Inc. “MedXM,” a national leader in the design and implementation of preventive care technology and in-home health risk assessments, announced today that it will offer osteoporosis screenings to employees in support of Osteoporosis Awareness Month.
Osteoporosis is a disease of the bone that makes a person’s bones weak and more likely to break. Approximately 10 million Americans have osteoporosis and another 44 million have low bone density.
This shocking statistic is the very reason MedXM initiated a company wide event to raise awareness of osteoporosis, a disease that can be prevented through screenings. MedXM’s mission of education, prevention, and early detection is reinforced through its service of partnering with health plans to offer Osteoporosis screenings to their members. Together MedXM and health plans are working to reduce the amount of broken bones due to Osteoporosis.
“Offering osteoporosis screenings to our employees raises awareness and encourages them to learn more about their risks and preventative measures around this disease,” said Sy Zahedi, MedXM CEO. “It’s important that we promote education, early detection and prevention among our employees and our valued health plans members.”
MedXM’s Osteoporosis Screening Day event was held Wednesday, May 18th. Over 30 employees participated and received their osteoporosis screening. MedXM will continue to promote osteoporosis awareness and prevention all month long to help promote MedXM’s mission of education, prevention, and early detection.
