Diabetic Retinopathy Examinations (DREs) are a critical component of health plans’ quality and star improvement strategies. This paper outlines a partner-driven approach to in-home or retail clinic DREs to improve outcomes for health plans, but especially for the plans’ diabetic members. Diabetic Retinopathy (DR) is one of the most serious complications associated with diabetes. It often leads to blindness, but early detection can prevent this complication.
